Hi friends…happy Monday! For the first post of the week, I am sharing Sara and Brad’s Longmont wedding photos. They had a sweet, backyard wedding over the summer 2016. I have known these two since high school, so I was very honored to document their love story. I had photographed this adorable family years ago, it was so nice to get them in front of my camera again for such a special event. Sara and Brad definitely had a family-centered wedding day, with beautiful navy and rustic details throughout.
Their joyful and intimate ceremony took place in Sara’s parents’ backyard. What a special place to tie the knot! Not only does it hold many special memories from growing up, but now the new memories of the first day of their marriage. Brad’s family played an equally important role, by hosting the couple’s lively backyard wedding reception. I am pretty sure this was the first Colorado backyard wedding that I have photographed. It was so much fun! I loved how intimate and personal the entire day felt. Everything was laid back and fun, just like this couple. Their guests had an absolutely amazing time partying the night away!
I love how the butterfly is flying through in the center photo…great timing!
After wrapping things up at Sara’s parents’ house, we stopped at Mead Ponds for some Colorado lake wedding photos. I had lived five minutes from Mead Ponds for over eight years. This, however, was my first time exploring the area. It was a little windy, but it was a great place to capture some family photos and romantic bride and groom portraits.
This has got to be one of my favorites from the day! What a sweet little family <3
Sara looked stunning in her dress…and actually the wind worked in our favor to add some beautiful movement in the photos!
