Edyta and Greg were visiting our beautiful Colorado mountains, for a work retreat. They traveled from the Chicago area and decided to have some photos taken while here. Edyta found me on Instagram. I had so much fun with them at Sapphire Point Overlook for their Breckenridge engagement pictures. They both looked amazing, dressed so nicely! Add in the sunny and snowy, mountainous backdrop and it was a recipe for a stunning couple’s session 🙂 They had already had engagement pictures taken back home, but liked the idea of having another session, in the snowy mountains, for some entirely different photos,
“Love is like a mountain, hard to climb, but once you get to the top the view is beautiful.” -Daniel Monroe Tuttle
Although I have shot at Sapphire Point countless times now, it never disappoints! Like the quote, the view from the top is simply jaw-dropping and it makes it always a good choice for photography sessions. There is something especially special about it during wintertime. The beautiful, soft snow blanketing the ground, and frozen Lake Dillon below.
I don’t always do them, but once in awhile I just love a silhouette shot! I thought this once turned out pretty cool. Don’t you think?
What a gorgeous engagement ring! I also love that it was the perfect type of snow for making a snowball. Or rather, a snow heart, which was the perfect prop for a unique ring shot 🙂

Thanks Edyta & Greg for allowing me to capture these winter Breckenridge engagement pictures. I hope you enjoyed your recent visit to Colorado 🙂 Also hoping your wedding, later this year, is everything you dreamed it would be 🙂 You are a wonderful couple, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with you both. I hope your marriage is as full of fun, laughter, and smiles, as your engagement portrait time was!
These are beautiful engagement photos. What a gorgeous backdrop too.
