Megan and Matthew had a beautiful, intimate wedding in the Colorado mountains. I enjoyed shooting at these 2 “new to me” venues. Their bright and sunny ceremony took place on the top of the mountain at the Beaver Creek wedding deck. Followed by dinner and dancing at Allie’s Cabin. It was a really fun day capturing these Beaver Creek wedding photos. Megan and Matt decided to do a first look, so we were able to get so many bride and groom photos throughout the day! No, I mean A TON! On a bridge, on a chairlift, on the mini golf course, with mountain views, with aspen trees, and even a few late night shots 🙂 I always love when we don’t have to stress over time. This allows for more creativity and usually more fun too!
Some of my favorite parts of Megan and Matthew’s day were their ice cream cake (I dreamed of having an ice cream cake at my own wedding!) and doggie cake topper. As well as the adorable welcome kits for their guests. I also really liked the chairlift shots we got, complete with their “Mr & Mrs Denis” banner. Our quick detour to the mini golf course at the base of the resort was really cute and fun too! We found the 14th hole, and got a few shots with the “14” flag. Since their wedding day was 9/14! Finally, I thought Megan and Matthew’s wedding favors were super sweet (both figuratively and literally)! Their guests enjoyed custom mountain wedding cookies, with their initials and wedding date. As well as little jars of Colorado honey with the couple’s custom label.
And it was time for a couple first looks…Megan and her dad, and Megan and her groom! Lots of smiles and hugs 🙂
When we could find a large enough area of shade to protect her eyes, Megan was able to remove her sunglasses for a few more couple’s portraits.
This is definitely one of my favorites from their Beaver Creek wedding photos! It always feels like a great, complete wedding day when ending with a creative night shot 🙂

Thank you Megan and Matt! Having your first year of marriage be 2020…the year of a pandemic and social unrest, couldn’t have been the easiest! I hope you still had opportunities to make beautiful memories together 🙂 Beaver Creek was sure a gorgeous place for a Colorado mountain wedding. I hope that I have more opportunities to work there in the future.
