Luca – Class of 2024 | NCAR Boulder Senior Photos | Colorado Portrait Photographer

Can you believe it…a location in Boulder where I had never had a photography session? This is quite rare after over a decade in the business. Luca is another Holy Family High School student. He is active with the drama department at school. Such a character! We had a lot of funny outtakes throughout his NCAR Boulder senior photos. We actually met up near Luca’s home at the NCAR-Table Mesa Trail. This in and of itself was a really great location! It has great flatirons views, without the insanity that comes along with photo sessions at Chautauqua Park. He and his family didn’t want a lot of shots at the Table Mesa Trail, so we just got a few great ones. Then headed up the hill to NCAR.

So while I have not shot at NCAR before, I have been there for a photo session when I was a high schooler myself! My Starbound dance company had our group photos taken there. Feels like a lifetime ago 🙂 Luca did three outfits for his senior session. At first he wore a black button down and jeans for the quick first portion of the session. He decided to change quickly after. He switched in and out of the other two outfits. His casual outfit was jeans, a t-shirt, and a flannel in blues and greens. His dressier outfit was my favorite. He wore jeans, a turquoise t-shirt, and great blue suit jacket. It looked great! My male senior clients don’t often get dressed up for their sessions. It’s a nice change when one of them actually does.

This is definitely one of my favorites from Luca’s NCAR Boulder senior photos. I just love this beautiful spot we found. The golden hour lighting is also gorgeous…and just look at that nice, genuine smile!

Luca, you were a very entertaining client. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing these senior photos for you, as well as your recent winter family session at Chautauqua.
