Last day of January…finally! January always feels like the longest month of the year. I guess after the hustle and bustle of the holidays, January brings thing to a screeching halt. Today I am sharing Mir’s Niwot senior portraits from this past October. Mir was so wonderful to work with! She is super sweet, a little shy, but we had some good laughs. We also managed to capture a bunch of gorgeous stuff together in downtown Niwot. Mir is great friends with my recent client Ben. They both have a bold, eclectic style. I am not surprised they are two peas in a pod.
Mir decided on quaint, old town Niwot for her senior photography session. It’s always fun shooting in this area! There is a lot of variety, it’s close to home for me, and it’s never too busy. In fact, I don’t think I have ever even seen another photographer working in the area whenever I’ve been there. We got photos with brick walls, a metal staircase, a historic firehouse, an ivy wall, and artsy benches in the shape of hands. We even found some colorfully painted wall murals, which I had never stumbled across during my other Niwot sessions. And of all things, we also got photos with a random bathtub. It was sitting on the sidewalk, outside of an antique shop.
As Mir got out of the car when first meeting up with me, I, of course, instantly noticed her bright, hot pink hair! Not just anyone can pull off that color. Mir totally pulls it off! She kept with the pink theme for her outfits too. She started in a sheer, long sleeve, pale pink top. Paired with a black skirt, pearl necklace, and black ankle boots. She kept it easy, and only changed her top for the second (and final) outfit. This time, she wore a dusty rose, satiny tank top. She had dramatic, cat eye make-up…it definitely completed her bold, unique look!
It was right around Halloween…so why not?!
This is one of my favorites from Mir’s Niwot senior portraits. Such a unique setting with the bathtub, fire hydrant, hanging teacups, and striking young lady. So fun! Definitely unlike any other classmates photos, I am sure.
Thanks so much Mir! You are a lovely person, inside and out. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing these senior photos for you. I hope you love the photos and had a great senior photography experience. Next up on the blog for the first post of February, the wonderful Phipps family. They participated in my vintage truck fall mini sessions. I got to meet their precious baby girl! Check back soon.
