The Phipps Family | Frederick Colorado Photographer | Fall Family Mini Sessions

Happy February friends! My first blog post for the new month is the wonderful Phipps family. I have had the pleasure of working with these two new parents, several times now. Their Fort Collins engagement session, their smaller 2020 “covid wedding”, and then their larger “first anniversary wedding” in 2021. As well as a couple’s fall mini session. And Cortnee even did a mini session with two of her besties! Most recently, their Loveland maternity photos at the Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park. It was so great to photograph that baby on the outside of the belly now! I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to be a Frederick Colorado photographer. Mostly because there just aren’t a lot of spots to take photos in Frederick.

When I saw my friend Erinn hosting these vintage truck mini sessions at her Frederick studio, I decided to book some time slots. The Phipps family was looking for something a little different. They also have a rustic, country style. The vintage truck fit that aesthetic perfectly. Plus it was decorated beautifully with mums, hay bails, and loads of colorful pumpkins. Little Myla was a natural in front of the camera…she is so precious! I just love her big white bow, denim dress, and cute white knee high socks. We captured a ton of great stuff together, and then we called it a wrap. As we were saying our goodbyes Caleb said one of the sweetest things ever from a client. Especially a male client (who tend to not really care much about photography)! He told me that I played an important role in their lives now. He insisted that I not retire or move for the next 18 years. That definitely made my day!

This is definitely one of my favorites from this session as the Phipps’ Frederick Colorado photographer. The vintage truck and fall themed props were beautifully styled and this sweet, young family looks simply adorable!

Thanks so much Cortnee, Caleb & Myla. I had so much fun photographing you for the first time as a family of three! I am so excited to watch and document your family as you all change and grow over the coming years. (18 years or more apparently LOL!)

Next up on the blog, some winter maternity portraits in Estes Park with Rachel and Kyle. There wasn’t a lot of snow, but we still created some amazing stuff together! I hope you will check back soon 🙂
