Bryanna + Cody | Lyons Engagement Pictures | Lavern Johnson Park

When Bryanna first booked this photo session, it was to be a couple’s session while Cody was on leave from the military. Little did she know, he planned to propose just days before! These turned into Lyons engagement pictures. I am so thrilled for them, and looking forward to their October 2025 wedding. Their wedding will also be in Lyons. I recommend a ton of great venues. They decided on Lionscrest Manor…always an excellent choice! It’s been so great to work with Bryanna through multiple important life events. First her Mead High School senior photos, her CSU college grad photos, and a Longmont couple’s sessions with Cody a few years ago.

They selected the Lavern M. Johnson Park for their winter engagement session. It really didn’t look like winter though! Not a speck of snow in sight. But you never know what you are going to get in Colorado! We didn’t let this bother us at all. We captured a ton of great images all over this unique Lyons park. Starting by the St. Vrain River, then headed over to the wooden bridge. Next we took some shots against a wooden fence, and in an open field of long grasses. Finally, we got a few photos with the massive, cool rock formations! A few more shots as we walked the trail back to the cars, and we called it a day. We practically had the place to ourselves, which was great. Bryanna and Cody each wore just one outfit during their session. Both in jeans. Cody wore a green button down, and Bryanna a white sweater with black trim detail. I love the large black bow in her beautiful red hair. That finished the look perfectly!

This is one of my favorites from Bryanna and Cody’s Lyons engagement pictures. I love that sweet, joyful moment between this newly engaged couple. Those long grasses and pine trees in the background, make a beautiful setting as well.
